Preparation
Holding tip: Keep the crunchy topper separate if holding longer than 30 minutes, then finish right before service.

Cook pasta to just under al dente, drain.

Toss chicken with buffalo sauce and ranch.

Combine pasta, milk, butter, 1 1/2 lb cheese, chicken. Pan it.

Top with remaining cheese, crouton dust, fried onions (and tortilla strips if using).

Bake at 350°F until hot and bubbling, about 15 to 20 minutes.
